Why is Self Development Important?
There are many ideas about personal development, one of which is Abraham Maslow’s self-realization process.
Self-Actualisation
Maslow (1970) proposed that all individuals have an inherent need for self-development, which occurs through a process called self-realization.
The extent to which people can develop depends on whether certain needs are met, and these needs form a hierarchical structure. Only when the needs of one level are met can the needs of a higher level be developed. However, as changes in life occur, the level of need to motivate someone's behavior at any given time also changes.
- At the bottom of the hierarchy are the basic physiological needs for food, drink, sex and sleep-the basis of survival.
- Second, there are physical and economic security requirements.
- Third, progress can satisfy the need for love and belonging.
- The fourth level refers to meeting self-esteem and self-esteem needs. This is the level most closely related to "self-empowerment."
- The fifth level is related to the need for understanding. This level includes more abstract ideas such as curiosity and exploration of meaning or purpose and deeper understanding.
- The sixth is related to the aesthetic needs of beauty, symmetry and order.
- Finally, at the top of Maslow's hierarchy is the need for self-actualization.
Maslow (1970, p. 383) said that everyone needs to see themselves as capable and autonomous, and everyone has unlimited room for growth.
Self-actualization means that everyone aspires to be who they are. Can be'. In other words, it refers to the need for self-realization and full potential as a unique person.
For Maslow, the path to self-realization involves staying in touch with your feelings and experiencing life fully and engrossly.

Managing Your Self Development
There are many steps to managing your personal development:
1.Develop your own vision.
Personal development may be just for fun. However, if we have the purpose of doing this, most of us will find it easier to motivate ourselves to learn and improve. Develop your own vision, know clearly what you want to achieve in a few months or years, and why, this is a key part of developing this goal.
2.Planning Your Self Development
Once you know where you want to go, you can start planning how to get there. Making a self-development plan is not essential, but it will make the planning process more realistic.
For more information on this part of the process, please refer to our page on planning your self-development.

Self-development makes your achievements sustainable.
That's it,
don't you sometimes feel that you are doing the same thing every day? Even if this is what we decided to do, it has become ordinary. We may not pay much attention to it, but it is important to grow in life as human beings and learners. One of the little ways to keep pushing yourself is to focus on self-improvement, because no one else will do it for us.
"A repetitive thing I do makes me feel happy, but when I continue to do what I am happy about, I feel bored and stuck. This is not because doing the same thing over and over again is trivial, but not for increasing Diversity."
Sometimes, but many times, we feel that we must add something new to our daily work and life arrangements, but the desire to do so does not exist. The will must be firm enough to become a habit. The idea of self-improvement is to add flavor to the ambitions and dreams we have already followed. I don't want to sound like a sermon, but small aspects of self-improvement can maintain our happiness at the completion of our achievements.
How can we focus on personal development?
This is exciting when you look at different ways of growing up. And improve yourself. There is nothing happier than doing new things alone. The content is great. Although there are many ways to focus on self-improvement, the methods listed below can give you a good start in habit-forming.
- Imagine your near future, not what you plan to do in five years.
- Start small and gain a bigger view over time.
- Check yourself every day. Whether it is work style or lifestyle. Add a little humanity every day. take care of yourself.
- Trying to accomplish something with overwhelming thoughts adds to the problem rather than satisfaction.
- Keep a diary, write down your daily feelings and a self-motivating thing you did on the last day.
- Don't rush to do many things. Do what you want to learn and move towards them one by one. Celebrate small successes
- Meditation.
What are the areas of personal development?
As we grow, there may be many areas for self-improvement, or it may be different. For me, these are the key areas of self-development and can also be classified as general clues to the overall self-development approach.
- I understand my needs, interests, hopes, dreams, adventures and lifestyle. Self-awareness accomplishes half of the task. Remember what you just mentioned, and you succeeded.
- It’s important to take care of yourself. When you learn to self-manage your emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and actions, this transition is smooth and effective.
- Don't be afraid of empathy. Socialize as much as possible. I talk to people, and I listen to their voices. Social networking is a great improvement in self-development.
- I calm myself down through meditation. I practice Whole Mind-Mind Zen 3 times a day to collect my thoughts, remove the dirt I carry, and start again with a calm mind.
In other words, self-improvement is an eternal adventure and cannot follow a series of agreements and strict lifestyles. Live from the heart!
